Volker Eisele Family Estate creates enticing wines from the Chiles Valley appellation of the Napa Valley. Organically farmed for forty years, the Estate produces wines of uncommon balance and finesse.

All fruit for the four limited production wines is grown in our Chiles Valley vineyard. The Cabernet Sauvignon is known for its elegance, depth and complexity. Terzetto is a unique proprietary blend of co-fermented Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, while Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, combined in the Bordeaux style, create the luscious Gemini.

    The Gemini begins with aromas of Meyer lemon, mandarin oranges, and wet stone, with a subtle underlying sweetness of vanilla bean. In the mouth, the palate is round and textured with flavors of candied citrus peel and a hint of pineapple, with a racy acidity that brings out the wine’s zingy minerality. This Gemini strikes an interesting balance between a round, voluptuous sur-lie aged wine and a crisp, clean stainless steel wine. The result is a tremendously food-friendly blend which should age brilliantly and continue to wow for years.

    The Cabernet Sauvignon shines a deep burgundy in the glass, with youthful red undertones. The nose is layered with candied cherry, cassis, pipe smoke, and rich leather, with a subtle wet stone minerality. In the mouth, the wine has a dark cherry core, with blueberry, spicy plum, and Chinese 5-spice powder woven together in a complex matrix with supple and mouth-filling tannins. The finish is long, with a sustained brown sugar, toasted oak sweetness.

    1/3 Cabernet Sauvignon, 1/3 Cabernet Franc, 1/3 Merlot, co-fermented

    This is a wine of elegance and finesse that fulfills our intentions; to reflect the style of wine that typifies Bordeaux varietals without any one dominating. The wine is a deep red in the glass, with lightly purple undertones. The nose is expressive with dark chocolate, cedar, black cherry, and the spiciness of a black mission fig. In the mouth, the wine shows lovely texture, with supportive, mouth-filling tannins that mingle well with flavors of darkly roasted coffee, blueberries, black cherry, and subtle clove. The wine is dense and supple, with a lingering, sweetly smoky finish. Drinkable now but will age gracefully due to its heritage.
